Public Comment
Open time for public expression, up to three minutes per speaker, on items not on today’s agenda. The Advisory Board will hear items without return comment or discussion. Testimony regarding matters not on the agenda will not be considered part of the administrative record.
- Approve Minutes for Regular Meeting of February 26, 2019 (Action Item)
Recommendation: Approve
- Update on Current CSA 18 and Park Department Activities (Information Item)
Staff will update advisory board members on the status of current fiscal year projects, maintenance activities, and other department information of interest to board members. Requested topics for discussion with staff:
- Redesign of Adrian Rosal entry
- Portable toilets at Adrian Rosal and Castro
- Lighting at Pueblo Park
- MSR Process Update
Jason Fried of LAFCO will provide an update on the current Municipal Services Review. Staff and Advisory Board members will discuss updates to the CSA 18 Boundary and Sphere of Influence (SOI)
- CSA 18 Budget Update (Action Item)
Staff will present updated budget information for Fiscal Years 2018-2019 and 2019-2020. Advisory Board members will review and may recommend adjustments to project budgets, if necessary.
Recommendation: Approve any budget adjustments per discussion.
- Community Emergency Response Teams (Action Item)
Staff and Advisory Board members will discuss current CERT/DART activity within Santa Venetia, and explore ways to support emergency preparedness within the community.
Recommendation: Approve per discussion.
- Election of Officers for 2020 (Action Item)
Advisory Committee members will elect a Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary for 2020.
Recommendation: Elect a Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary for 2020.
- Advisory Board Member Comments (Information Item)
Advisory Board members may speak about items of interest to the council that do not appear on the agenda. No discussion or action can take place on items mentioned during this time.
CSA 18 shall hold its regular meetings twice a year, generally during the months of February and September. All meetings shall be properly noticed and time shall be provided for public comment at each meeting.
