    Open time for public expression, up to three minutes per speaker, on items not on today's agenda. Commissioners will hear items without return comment or discussion. Testimony regarding matters not on the agenda will not be considered part of the administrative record.

  4. IPM Coordinator’s 2017 Second Quarter Report (Information Item)
    Staff will present an IPM program report for the 2nd quarter of 2017. Topics will include summary of product use, violations and exemptions issued and alternative IPM efforts associated with the County’s IPM program.

  5. Presentation by IPM Specialist Al Hom on Japanese Knot Weed (Information Item)
    County IPM Specialist Al Hom will provide an informational presentation on Japanese Knot Weed, an invasive noxious weed, and the associated land management challenges.
  6. Presentation by staff and coalition members on the "Think Before You Spray" Campaign (Information Item)
    County staff will provide an informational presentation on outreach efforts to Marin residents encouraging a reduction in the use of herbicides when managing weeds in residential yards and gardens. The campaign provides resources via the website www.yardsmartmarin.org.
  7. Update on County's Glyphosate-free Landscape Maintenance Program (Information Item)
    Staff will announce renewal of the County’s Glyphosate-free landscape maintenance program for non-pedestrian traffic medians and present findings from the 2016-17 pilot program. Staff and Commissioners will also discuss the recent inclusion of glyphosate under Prop 65.
  8. Call for Nominations for Annual IPM Awards (Information Item)
    The commission will announce a call for nominations for the 2017 IPM Achievement Award. Commission Chair will announce due dates and protocol for the submission of nominations.
  9. Commission Member Comments (Information Item)
    Commission members may briefly speak about items of interest to the commission that does not appear on the agenda. Commissioners cannot discuss or take action on these items.
