Parks and Open Space Commission


The Parks and Open Space Commission advises the Marin County Board of Supervisors regarding parks and open space policy, and to conduct public hearings on parks and open space matters considered for recommendation to the Board. Learn more about the Parks and Open Space Commission.

Regular Meetings

The next Parks and Open Space Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m..

This meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format.

Members of the public may attend in person at Marin Civic Center, Planning Chambers, Room 328. Participants attending the meeting in person may be asked to wear a mask, maintain social distance per the Public Health Officer's recommendation, and the maximum capacity of the chambers may be reduced to comply with the current local health order.

Members of the public may also watch or listen to the meeting via Zoom.

How to make a public comment:

  • Members of the public attending the meeting at Civic Center will have the opportunity to make comments in person. The moderator will call for public comment for each agenda item.
  • Before the meeting, email comments to no later than 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Include the agenda item, your name, and address. Attachments to emails are permitted.
  • Members of the public may also join the meeting remotely by device or telephone using the Zoom information above. To make a public comment on a digital device click the Zoom raise hand icon. On a phone press *9 to raise hand. The moderator will tell you when it is your turn to speak.
  • All comments are placed in the public record.


Regular meetings are held generally on the third Thursday of every other month beginning in January. The commission may schedule additional meetings as needed.
