McInnis Park

• Take a swing at the 9-hole golf course designed by Fred Bliss.
• The golf center, run for Marin County Parks by a professional golf course operator, also offers a family friendly driving range and miniature golf.
• Reserve a soccer field, softball field, or tennis/pickleball court.
• Bring your scooter or skateboard to ride at the award-winning skatepark, created for all skill levels.
• Launch a kayak or canoe into Gallinas Creek, an easy paddle to San Pablo Bay.
• Anglers can try for freshwater catch at McInnis pond. Make sure you have a fishing license.
• Walk the trail overlooking McInnis Marsh along the creek. Bring binoculars to spot the birds that flock to tidal flats.

Know Before You Go

• Tennis courts, soccer and softball fields require advance reservation.
• When hiking, stay on trail to avoid disturbing wildlife. The marsh is home to sensitive and endangered species.
• If you are launching a kayak or canoe, watch weather and tides. Currents can be strong.

McInnis Park address is 310 Smith Ranch Road, San Rafael. From Highway 101 in San Rafael take exit 456 for Smith Ranch Road east approximately 0.7 mile. Drive over the railroad tracks and immediately turn left to stay on Smith Ranch Rd. The park entrance is at the end of Smith Ranch Rd.

MCINNIS PARK

• Keep the park clean and litter-free. Use garbage cans provided, and carry out all your belongings.
• Dogs may be off leash if under voice control. Leash must be no longer than 6 feet.
• Dogs are not allowed in tennis courts, with the exception of service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
• Individuals accompanying dogs are required to clean up and dispose of pet waste.
• Keep the park peaceful. Loud noise and amplified music are not allowed.
• No smoking, campstoves, or campfires. Fires are only allowed within designated BBQs.
• No firearms or weapons of any kind.
• No operating or landing aircraft of any kind, including drones.
• No alcoholic beverages.
• No camping or overnight stays.
• Groups of 20 or more people must make an advance reservation. Learn more about group reservations.
• Some park locations may require permits for commercial use, including tours, classes, camps, film, or photography. Learn about permit applications.
• Fishing is allowed subject to regulations of California Fish and Game, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Marin County Parks. No live bait. Valid fishing license required.
• Do not follow, approach, or feed wildlife.

MCINNIS TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURTS

• Open sunrise to sunset.
• Tennis and pickleball only.
• Rubber-soled shoes only.
• No pets in court.
• Reservation play has priority over walk-on play. Call (415) 473-6387 to reserve play time. Play time is reserved in one-hour increments. Back-to-back reservations allowed.
• If court is not reserved and others are waiting, play time is one hour or to the conclusion of set.
• Courts 1 and 2 are set aside for pickleball from 10 am-noon on Thursdays. Tennis is allowed during this time if there is no pickleball play, but tennis players must vacate courts if pickleball players arrive.

MCINNIS SKATEPARK

• Visitors to McInnis Skatepark must abide by additional skatepark rules.

Always listen to park rangers. Rule violations can result in citation and fines. Read the official Parks regulations: Marin County Municipal Code Title 10.
